Catechesis of the Good Shepherd

What is Catechesis of the Good Shepherd CGS?

The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a Montessori-based approach to the religious formation of children, rooted in Sacred Scripture, Liturgy, and respect for the child’s rich relationship with God.  After an introduction by the catechist, the children are invited to work with the material on their own to continue their mediation.  Because children learn by using their hands, working with materials allows them to enter more deeply into meditation and nurturing their relationship with God.  Sessions are on Sundays from 9:00AM – 10:15AM and Tuesdays from 7:00PM – 8:15PM for children ages 3-5.  Classes run from October to April in the Atrium Room 5 in the Education Building.  (For more information contact Candice-Tripi Scott)
